Getting help with your energy bills
The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) and the Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) are available to businesses requiring financial support with their energy.
Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS)
The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) provides support for businesses between 1 October 2022 and 31 March 2023.
Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS)
The Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) gives support to businesses from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
Alternative fuel payment
If you are a non-domestic high user of heating oil you can apply for a 'top up' payment if:
- The porerty is not connected to the gas grid
- You purchased over 10,000 litres of kerosene (heating oil) for use as a fuel on site at the property over a recent 12-month period.

Energy and Trade Intensive Industries and The Heat Network Operators
Under the Government’s Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS), businesses that qualify as an Energy and Trade Intensive Industry (ETII) may be eligible for an even greater discount.
