What are Deemed or Out of Contract Rates?
Deemed Rates
If you recently moved into a property that we supply with electricity or gas, but haven’t agreed a contract with us, we won’t leave you without power. You’ll be on what’s known as a ‘Deemed Contract’^. We’ll charge you our Deemed rates until you agree a contract with us, or until you switch to a new supplier. Deemed rates for gas
Gas rates are calculated using the amount of gas a site uses over a period of 12 months; this is called Annual Quantity banding (AQ). If you know which AQ banding your property fits into, you can use the table below to look up the rates. If you do not know, please contact us and we will be able to tell you your banding and its associated rate.

Out of Contract Rates
Out of Contract rates apply to the electricity or gas we supply to Opus Corporate customers when a fixed period ends and a new contract has not been entered into either with us or a new supplier. We’ll charge you these rates until you agree a new contract or switch to another supplier. Please note that these rates are not fixed, and they may change at any time, so check our website for more details.
